What is Kaia Wave?

Kaia Wave: Bridging Web2 and Web3

Kaia Wave is a builder support program, brought to you by LINE NEXT and the Kaia Foundation - formed by the recent merger of Kakao's Klaytn blockchain and LINE's Finschia blockchain, to onboard new, creative builders on the Kaia ecosystem.

Kaia Wave builders will access more than 200M+ LINE Messenger users who will soon be able to experience everything from wallet creation to using Dapps, trading FTs/ NFTs, referring Dapps to their LINE friends – all within LINE messenger.

We’re looking for builders with a novel idea or service that will be able to harness the attention of LINE users and become a crucial part of their everyday lives, so that we can create something that’s more than a point farm.

Who can apply?

Kaia Wave is for all web3 builders that aim to contribute in adding value to the Kaia and LINE ecosystem, but below are some points that we think are great qualities.

  • Projects with consumer Dapps with user rewards (FT or NFT)

  • Projects that plan to issue NFTs or FTs based on the Kaia Blockchain

  • Projects that plan to build Kaia-native Dapps

  • Projects that are ready to bring in the mass with their killer Dapps

  • Clear KPIs and objectives for long-term growth in the Kaia ecosystem

  • Showcase the uniqueness and innovative nature compared to existing Dapps

  • Able to execute local and/or global marketing for your project

Kaia Wave Benefits

Kaia Wave is more than a grant program - we offer multiple angles of support and benefits for Dapps to reach consumers in web2 and 3, fund their projects, with additional benefits rooting from sources such as LINE Messenger, Campaign Partners, Web3 Marketing Alliances and Creators and Kaia & LINE NEXT's vertical services.

Financial Support

We have a total of 10M USD value of KAIA(KLAY) tokens as financial funds to be provided to selected applicants(teams). The funds will be provided as below.

  • 1) 25,000-100,000K USD worth of KAIA tokens for onboarding to Kaia Wave

  • 2) Additional incentive plans to be announced in the future

Provide a wide range of support from initial liquidity for teams that issue FT to token listing support in CEX. More information here.

Connection to VC Partners

We provide the opportunity for selected applicants(teams) that are looking for token or equity investment rounds to pitch their products/projects to our VC partners. Teams that portray a level of success through this program will be provided with IR sessions with our VC partners.

Application Process

After submitting your applications, the review process and launch will happen in the following order:

Review and Selection Process

  1. Application Submission

    >> You can submit your application here.

  2. Internal Review

    >> Your application will be reviewed by selected panels from LINE NEXT and Kaia Foundation.

    >> This process will take approximately 14-days and each applicants will be notified via their submitted email address

    >> If more information is required for review, Kaia Wave panels may reach out for supplementary documents.

  3. Onboarding Confirmation for Selected Applicants

    >> An official email of onboarding confirmation will be sent to selected applicants.

  4. Onboarding Details and Preparation

    >> Upon confirming applicants’ onboarding status, our team will be providing you with details and guidelines for launching your Dapps on Kaia blockchain and LINE Messenger (for Mini Dapp builders).

    >> Guidelines will include SDKs for LINE Messenger and Kaia blockchain, launching schedule for NFTs and/or FTs, marketing materials and more.

  5. Launch

    >> Marketing on LINE and Kaia Foundation channels will start according to your launch date.
